KUWAIT-- Kuwaiti Minister of Information Mohammad Al-Jabri on Friday left for the Saudi city of Jeddah to attend a meeting of information ministers of the Saudi-led coalition to support Yemen's legitimacy.

Speaking to KUNA in pre-departure remarks, Al-Jabri, who doubles as minister of state for youth affairs, said Kuwait's participation in the event is part of unending cooperation among the coalition's members and Saudi-led efforts in this regard.

The gathering manifests the significance of establishing security and peace in Yemen, and empowering the legitimate government to impose hegemony on the country's soil, he said.

The Kuwaiti minister underlined the paramount importance of this meeting, given that media, in modern times, is as significant as weapons used in wars, especially for promoting the coalition's humanitarian and relief role in Yemen.

He reiterated the support of Saudi Arabia, Gulf, Arab and foreign countries for Yemen's security and stability as a principled position based on legitimate considerations.
