(AACCI) Welcomes MOU With Australia Business Group of Oman (ABGO)

Australia Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AACCI) Welcomes MOU With Australia Business Group of Oman (ABGO)

We [AACCI] are very pleased to welcome this MOU agreement with the Australian Business Group of Oman.  We are looking forward to leveraging stronger business ties to serve the interests of both business communities and bringing the relationship and cooperation between our two countries to a higher level.

As two key trade organisations, we come together to enhance our foundations and develop new horizons in bi-lateral ties between Australia and the Sultanate of Oman.  Australia's trade to the GCC region continues to develop strongly and Oman is one of our important and valued partners.

Today, the Australian Ambassador Designate to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with non-resident accreditation to Oman, Bahrain and Yemen is visiting Melbourne and we will be hosting a business round table where the AACCI MoU with the ABGO will feature in the discussions.  Two months ago, we welcomed a new Omani Consul General to Melbourne, His Excellency  Dr Hamood Al Wardi who is a graduate of the University of Western Australia, highlighting education as one of our strongest bi-lateral trade sectors.

On behalf of the Chamber, I'd like to also personally extend a sincere thank you to Dr Ralph King Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with non-resident accreditation to Bahrain, Oman and Yemen for his years of service in the region and we are very much looking forward to welcoming him back home and to continue our cooperation.
