16 Feb 2018

Lebanon - Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, met, at his Ain-el-Tineh residence on Friday, with United States Acting Assistant Secretary for Near Eastern Affairs David Satterfield, in presence of US Ambassador to Lebanon, Elizabeth Richard.

Talks touched on latest developments, especially regarding Lebanon's Exclusive Economic Zone and maritime borders.

Accordingly, Berri notified his guests of the US suggestions in that respect, insisting on the demarcation of the maritime borders through the tripartite

"The proposal is unacceptable," Berri stressed.

Separately, Berri met with former chief of the Arab League, Amr Moussa, with whom he discussed most recent developments in the region.
