Bassil: Those who refuse expulsion of refugees attack interest of Lebanon

Mon 25 Sep 2017

NNA - Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Minister, Gebran Bassil, said on Monday that those who refused the expulsion of refugees from Lebanon were only crippling the country's affairs.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the "Lebanese Diaspora Energy" conference in Las Vegas, the minister affirmed that he had taken no action against the interest of Lebanon.

"Any meeting, be it bilateral or tripartite, should be held in the interest of Lebanon," Bassil said.

"The Lebanese must feel that the Foreign Ministry is acting in their favor and is not politicized, regardless of their partisan or confessional affiliations," he added.

"The policy adopted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in favor of Lebanon and all Lebanese," Bassil added.
