Bassil responds to Trump on Syrian displacement- "We can help 100 in their country"

US President Donald Trump began his speech on the Syrian displacement at the opening of the UN General Assembly saying he supported the resettlement of refugees in the nearest place of their country. This was a swift and direct response during the UN forum. The Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil, wrote on Twitter: "Trump said that at the cost of resettling a displaced person in the United States we can help 10 in their area, Bassil I say: we can help 100 in their own country. "

In anticipation of what will be announced by the President of the Republic at the United Nations, information indicates that President Aoun, who has re-established his position abroad, will reaffirm Lebanon's position that rejects any form of resettlement and always calls for the return of displaced people to their homes.
