Canberra: Kuwait's Ambassador to Australia Najib Abdul Rahman Al-Bader met today with Senate President Stephen Parry at Parliament House in Canberra - Australia. Ambassador Najib Al-Bader said that during the meeting he delivered a written letter from the President of the National Assembly Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim about a number of issues of common interest that contribute to the development of parliamentary ties and development between the two sides.
Ambassador Najib Al-Bader said the message of the Speaker of the National Assembly includes the National Assembly of the State of Kuwait’s appreciation and praise for that clear position of principle adopted by the President and members of the Senate against the practices of Senator Pauline Hanson, the head of the One Nation party targeting the Islamic religion.
Al-Bader affirmed Kuwait’s position as seeking dialogue that achieved peace between nations and peoples. It was not a culture of hatred and intolerance, noting Islamic countries were fighting terrorism as part of global efforts to combat terrorism in all its forms and oppose the ideology of extremism that encourages the killing of innocent people.
Al-Bader also praised the outstanding contributions of more than 600,000 Australian Muslims across many fields.
