Sydney - M. E. TIMES Int'l: "The embassy is keen through its participation in cultural festivals to highlight Kuwait's leading position in the fields of culture and human civilization,” Kuwait's Ambassador to Australia Najeeb Al-Bader said today.

Mr Al-Bader made the statement during the embassy’s participation in the annual three-day Multicultural Festival organised by the Department of Multicultural Affairs which began on Friday.

Kuwait’s exhibition witnessed a high turnout as it is one of the main participating exhibitions through gifts and publications distribution and some Kuwaiti traditional foods and introducing the visitors to traditional customs,” Mr Al-Bader said.

The participation of the embassy in the festival was marked by the presence of the guest of honour the Chief Minister of the Australian Capital Territory Andrew Barr and some senior officials and heads of diplomatic missions.”

Mr Al-Bader stressed the keenness of the embassy's annual participation in the festival, which contributes to the rapprochement between peoples of different cultures and introducing them to diverse traditions of the countries.

He said the cultural diversity, much valued by Australia, is one of the key factors for the development of mutual understanding between the peoples of the world.
