Sydney - M. E. Times Int'l: Mr. Giscard El Khoury the Lebanese Chargé d'affaires held a gala dinner in honor of the federal Australian MP and Assistant Minister Mr. Michael Sukkar. It was attended by Apostolic Nuncio Adolfo Tito Yllana, the dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps Ambassador of Tunisia Nabil Al- Akhal, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates Obaid Al Ketbi, Ambassador of Kuwait Najeeb Al-Bader, Ambassador of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Ali Krishan, Ambassador of the State of Palestine Izzat Abdul Hadi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco Karim Medrek, Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore Fook Seng Kwok, Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea Kyoung-ha Woo, Embassy of Saudi Arabia’s adviser Saad Al-Asmari and the Lebanese Consul General in Melbourne Ghassan Khatib.  The ceremony was attended also by a number of federal MPs including Mr. Craig Laundy the Assistant Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science, Mr. Andrew Hastie Chairman of the Joint Committee of Intelligence and Security in Parliament, and MP Tony Pason. The Ministry of Foreign affairs and trade was represented also in this occasion by  Mr. Lloyd Brodrick Head of Middle East Branch and Mr. Robert McKinnon the head of the strategic issues and intelligence branch. it was noted also the participation of Professor Amin Saykal the head of the Arab and Islamic Studies Center at the ANU University and Mr. Roland Jabbour president of the Arab Australia Chamber of Commerce, and Ms. Samar Al-Hassan the assistant at the embassy. The welcoming words stressed on the depth of the relationship between Lebanon and Australia.
